The Ask
I worked directly with the Axios internal design team to build out event identities, the main stage presentation, digital signage, and print assets for their annual What’s Next Summit. Our team transformed the venue into a future-forward wonderland. Highlights include: two augmented reality (AR) vingettes, glow-in-the-dark cocktails, conveyor belt catering, and of course, a cookie-delivering robot.

The Role
For the past few years, Axios has partnered with ADVOC8 to conceptualize, design, and produce their annual 'What's Next' Summit. During this collaboration, I worked with their in-house creative team to create digital assets, animations, AR callouts, and branded event materials for check-in, breakout sessions, way-finding, and networking lunch/cocktail hour assets and signage.

Scanning a QR code revealed an AR experience for guests. Static scenes came to life to help them envision What’s Next for the future of smart homes and transit.
The following year, we leaned into the networking aspect of the summit, by cultivating spaces where a DC audience could socialize naturally. Activations included a custom coffee bar, “Connect Quick” lounge, and rapid-fire wifi.
