Octopus Interactive needed an in-house creative leader to help build and scale a new category of digital-out-of-home advertising as a high-growth startup. The ask was to define brand and marketing strategy, support sales and advertiser partnerships, and create engaging, validated creative experiences for a location-based rideshare ad platform - while proving audience engagement to partners, advertisers, and investors.

The Role
As Creative Director and leader of the in-house creative team, I provided hands-on creative direction and execution across brand, marketing, product, and advertising initiatives. I served as a player-coach, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to design interactive ads, motion content, UI screens, dashboards, and sales materials while supporting high-volume, mission-critical creative needs. I worked directly on ad validation and performance storytelling, helping translate real engagement metrics into compelling creative narratives that supported advertiser trust, platform growth, and ultimately the company’s acquisition by T-Mobile.
